Library Opening Hours

Senior School Library Hours:

Each recess and lunchtime

Monday: 8.15am - 4.30pm

Tuesday to Thursday: 8.15am - 5:00pm

Friday: 8.15am - 4.00pm

    Mobile Phones

    Students may not use their mobile phones in the Library for the purposes of making calls,taking photos, texting or for playing games.

    This is the same rule that applies in the classroom.

    Students may use their mobile phone for recreational purposes at recess and lunchtime.

     

    It Would be Greatly Appreciated!

    Please no food or bags in the Library, all bags should be placed in your locker so there is no need to bring them.

    Doors marked No Exit mean just that. They are not to be opened as they have alarms which will go off when open. There are for emergency use only.

    What does the Library Offer?

    Besides being the obvious place to come and borrow books from did you know that the Library is also the place to:

    • Borrow magazines and graphic novels
    • Borrow e-books on the Kobo e-readers
    • Use the Library Catalogue to find resources including Clickview videos
    • Use databases to find reliable & authoritative information 
    • Borrow  equipment: digital cameras, GoPro,  laptop chargers, CD player & DVD player  
    • Laptoop charging station  
    • Print, scan & photocopy

    The Library is also a great place to spend your recess or lunchtime with our large range of board games, chess sets, jigsaw puzzles and UNO cards.

    You can also log in using your User name (first 3 letters of your surname & first 3 letters of your christian name)

    By logging on individually you can reserve books and create your own lists.

           

    Geelong Regional Library

     

    Can't find what you want in our Library then head to the Geelong Regional Library.

    Joining is free and gives you access to their online collections and resources which includes e-books, newspapers, databases.

    Photocopiers

    The Library has 2 photocopiers for student use and printing from any computer within the school will be sent through to the Library photocopiers.

    You can select from: Senior School Follow Me Mono (black and white) or the Senior School Follow Me Colour (colour and black & white). Photocopiers can also scan documents.

    Students can log in using their ID card or by manually typing in their school email address and password.

    The cost of photocopying or printing will be deducated from your allowance and students can recharge their cards via the machine in the Library.

     

    Technical Support

    The IT support person is available on a daily basis for any technical support you may require with your laptop.

    You are welcome to see them during recess and lunch to get any help with you laptop problems or during classtime with teacher permission.

    Their office is the door with no window pane in it.
